Recipe: Homemade Hot Spiced Cider

This cider will warm you through-and-through. For the kids, you can leave out the brandy. Ingredients: 1 gallon apple cider 8 cinnamon sticks, broken up 10 to 14 whole allspice 18 to 20 whole cloves peel from one orange, cut into strips 2 Tbs. honey 1 1/2 cups brandy whole cinnamon sticks for garnish orange slices for garnish Instructions: Wrap and tie the broken cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves and orange peel in cheesecloth. In a 6-quart kettle, bring the cider, honey and spices to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove cider from heat and stir in brandy....
